The purpose of this study is to apply the MPO’s Transportation Resiliency Framework to the Hollywood Boulevard corridor, from Young Circle to the Intracoastal Bridge. The 9-step framework, shown below, will perform a holistic evaluation of Hollywood Boulevard and its surrounding neighborhoods to understand the corridor’s vulnerabilities to climate change and develop a community driven, project specific, approach to addressing the vulnerabilities. The project was approved by the MPO Board in February of 2023 and is anticipated to be completed by summer 2024. The MPO is working with the City of Hollywood, FDOT, and Broward County to ensure the success of the project. Community involvement will take place throughout the project.

Public Meeting #2
The second public session for this project took place on January 25, 2024, at the Hollywood Beach Culture and Community Center. During this gathering, three (3) preliminary alternatives were introduced to the community to garner their support and feedback. Following a concise presentation, residents were encouraged to engage in discussions and provide rankings for the presented alternatives. The presentation materials are available for review below. Subsequent to refining the preferred alternatives, a final meeting will be arranged.
 
 
 
 
  
Public Meeting #1
The first public meeting for this project was hosted September 13, 2023, at the Hollywood Beach Culture and Community Center. This meeting was an introductory meeting on the planning study and served to familiarize the project team with the residents’ concerns and preferences.
